The climb all the way up to the Statue’s Crown takes 354 winding steps. So, if you are game for the thrilling ascends, you should be there early as it can take as long as 3 hours to climb your way to the top. You should drink water at least 30 minutes before embarking on your climb as there are no washrooms once you begin on these narrow steps. The climb can be rather strenuous and you need to make sure that you have good health conditions. If you are bringing children, they must be able to climb up and down, unassisted.
